Support adolescents, adults, and psycho-geriatric patients as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in Vernon Jubilee Hospital’s MHSU department.

Interior Health offers a permanent full-time chance within the Mental Health & Substance Use Emergency Room team. Rotating shifts run days and nights from 07:00 to 19:15 and 19:00 to 07:15. The role provides care across available services for clients with serious mental health problems, problematic substance use, or developmental disability issues. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team and may provide consultation to emergency or acute inpatient mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Function as a primary clinician using specialized treatment modalities




- Provide assessment and evidence-based clinical supports
- Manage cases and coordinate community support
- Respond urgently to clients when required
- Provide consultation or assessment to emergency services

Requirements:

- Approved nursing school graduation
- Two years’ recent related mental health experience
- Experience in an addictions environment
- Current practicing BCCNM registration
