Build Linux kernel systems for Arista EOS using C, CPU architecture knowledge, and strong software design skills across networking products.

As a senior software engineer, you will develop and maintain kernel functionality across Arista products. Your work includes CPU subsystem support, current hardware bring-up, kernel integration, feature delivery, and performance tuning. You will collaborate with hardware teams, vendors, system testers, customer support engineers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Integrate upstream kernel versions into EOS and development environments
- Bring up and qualify new CPUs in hardware products
- Analyze system test and customer network problems
- Debug issues and fine tune software for scalability




- Document designs and implementations clearly and concisely

Requirements:

- Extensive C programming expertise and strong implementation skills
- Significant hands-on Linux kernel development and troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with x86 and ARM CPU architectures
- Understanding of IP networking architecture, design, and principles
- Ability to work independently and in small teams
