This Network Specialist position supports secure, secure operations for City staff and systems. You will manage perimeter security, network monitoring appliances, and corporate devices. The work also involves advising staff, supporting technicians, and coordinating with outside organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure corporate networks and devices remain secure
- Monitor system logs and recommend required changes
- Maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and security appliances
- Provide network support and prioritize critical calls
- Liaise with outside organizations on support issues
Requirements:
- Experience with network security and antivirus systems
- Experience configuring hardwired and wireless networks
- Knowledge of routing, switching, and LAN administration
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware and peripherals
- Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written
