Improve Bromwich+Smith’s finance operations in Downtown Calgary with process automation, accounting expertise, and analytical problem-solving. This full time role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
The Senior Accountant maintains reliable financial information while identifying ways to reduce manual work. You will recommend improvements to workflows, systems, controls, and internal procedures. The position also supports reporting, forecasting, budgeting, stakeholder collaboration, and guidance for the Accounts Payable Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate finance processes
- Improve accounting workflows, systems, and internal procedures
- Develop consistent processes supporting accuracy and stronger controls
- Resolve recurring errors and improve financial data quality
- Support the Accounts Payable Specialist with accounting guidance
Requirements:
- Four to five years in a Senior Accountant or equivalent role
- Business accounting experience; financial services experience preferred
- Experience improving accounting processes or implementing automation
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach to process improvement
