Support emergency stabilization and critical patient care as a Registered Nurse at Dawson City Community Hospital in Yukon.
This regular part time, 0.5 FTE Registered Nurse position follows a six-month-on, six-month-off rotational schedule. Reporting to the Operations Leader, you will care for patients across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. The position includes stabilizing multiple trauma and critically ill medical or obstetrical patients until evacuation arrangements can be made. You will also provide health education, develop treatment plans, and contribute to family services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency care for critically ill patients
- Stabilize multiple trauma and obstetrical patients
- Implement physician-ordered medical and therapeutic programs
- Plan, implement, and evaluate family services
- Perform related duties supporting unit operations
Requirements:
- Minimum two to three years acute care nursing experience
- Diploma or baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Current YRNA registration and CPR certification
- Valid Yukon driver’s licence and crisis intervention certificate
- Emergency nursing experience considered an asset
