Ontario’s Ministry of Finance seeks a forensic investigations leader skilled in computer systems, evidence, and staff supervision.

This senior investigator leads forensic examinations and investigations involving the Provincial Offences Act, Criminal Code of Canada, and fraud. You will direct investigative strategies, mentor junior staff, and coordinate activities across office and field settings. Province-wide travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and supervision to investigators and staff
- Conduct investigations involving offences and fraud
- Coordinate forensic activities and investigative strategies
- Prepare position papers, issue notes, and technical materials
- Lead assigned projects from planning through implementation

Requirements:

- Knowledge of judicial processes, court procedures, and related legislation
- Knowledge of accounting theory, audit standards, and procedures
- Knowledge of PC systems, networks, software, and equipment
- Ability to assess contraventions and select investigative methods
- Leadership skills to mentor and train staff
