This permanent Project Engineer position reports to the Manager, Mine Safety, within the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board. You will apply engineering knowledge across mining operations and project stages, including construction, operation, preliminary engineering, and reclamation. The role centers on compliance and qualified oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and assess mining plans
- Conduct inspections at mining sites
- Monitor compliance with the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Act
- Apply Workplace Health and Safety Regulations
- Oversee mine activities across construction and operation

Requirements:

- Degree in mining, mechanical, civil, or related engineering
- Significant experience in the mining sector
- Experience reviewing or developing mine designs
- Experience managing or supporting engineering projects
- Registered or eligible for Yukon P.Eng. registration
