Support Campus Housing at the University of Waterloo through financial planning, operational reporting, and long-range analysis in a temporary appointment.
As Manager, Financial Operations and Analysis, you will guide budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business management for Campus Housing Shared Services. You will help preserve accurate financial records, strengthen controls, and inform senior management decisions. Advanced Excel and analytical judgment are central to this work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial position reports
- Analyze operations for development and cost reduction opportunities
- Review monthly statements and identify financial consequences
- Develop dashboards, performance measures, and reporting formats
- Document processes and deliver financial training to staff
Requirements:
- Seven years of qualified experience in financial services
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Accounting, financial analysis, business, or related post-secondary education
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
