This Powerhouse Mechanic role supports seven Wartsila 20V34SG engines and their auxiliary and support systems. Reporting to the Mill Mechanical Supervisor, you will overhaul machinery, inspect parts, operate diagnostic tools, and coordinate work with site personnel. Current knowledge of engine systems is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain powerhouse equipment and machinery
- Examine components for breakage, wear, and other defects
- Test machinery operation to diagnose malfunction causes
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, orderly condition
- Communicate maintenance actions, irregularities, and ongoing requirements
Requirements:
- Five or more years of relevant skilled work experience
- Journeyperson certificate as Industrial Mechanic/Millwright or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and work independently
