Maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and mechanical equipment through diagnostics, repairs, and testing at the physical work location. English is required.
This Diesel Mechanic position calls for five years or more of experience plus a trades certificate, diploma, or equivalent experience. The work includes rig setup support, equipment maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, and electrical motor systems. You will also repair heavy trucks and specialized powered equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors
- Repair transmissions and other mechanical equipment
- Assist with rig setup, takedown, and transportation
- Maintain electrical motors, generators, and alternators
- Repair hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
Requirements:
- Five years or more of experience
- Trades certificate, diploma, or equivalent experience
- Fuel injection and exhaust system experience
- Cooling, lubrication, and engine control experience
- Class 1 or A, Class 3 or D, and Air Brake Z
Use drilling rig maintenance, diesel diagnostics, and mechanical repair capabilities across engines, transmissions, and control systems.
