Position Overview: CFT Group is seeking a dedicated General Labourer to join our recycling yard team in Stittsville. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, thrives in an outdoor environment, and values teamwork. You’ll be involved in sorting and handling materials, keeping the yard clean and organized, and supporting day-to-day recycling operations. The wage for this position is $20.00
- $25.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate tire-crushing equipment safely and efficiently to process incoming tires.
- Inspect equipment before and after shifts and report malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Sort, move, and dump scrap metal safely (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.).
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Sort, move, and process tires and other recyclable materials.
- Assist with loading, unloading,



and staging materials for transport.
- Deliver excellent customer service to yard visitors and drivers.
- Report equipment issues, safety hazards, and environmental concerns to supervisors.
- Remove and safely drain fluids from vehicles in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with general labour tasks as needed to support daily yard operations.

Qualifications:

- 3–5 years of experience in general labour, recycling, or yard operations is required.
- Experience operating industrial equipment, particularly tire-crushing equipment, is considered strong asset.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, hardworking, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Steel-toe boots required; coveralls provided.
- Availability to work day shifts, Monday to Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. as required. Why Work With Us:
