Position Overview

Title: Security Guard

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour

Schedule: Various shifts available (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts; including days, nights, weekends, and holidays)

Site Overview

Located in Williams Lake, British Columbia, this client site provides a dynamic work environment focused on safety, community service, and professional care. As part of our team on site, you will help maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all staff, clients, and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide customer service and support to sustain strong relationships with clients and visitors.

Conduct regular proactive patrols across the property to maintain safety and report any policy breaches or safety concerns.

Respond promptly and professionally to security alarms, calls for service, and emergency situations.

De-escalate stressful or emergency situations, liaising directly with police, fire, and paramedic services as needed.

Manage access control, manage crowds, and address unauthorized entry or trespassing.

Write clear, detailed, and accurate incident, liability, and daily activity reports.

Provide basic medical response and first aid when required.

Must Haves

- Valid BC Security License
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice-to-Haves

- Valid Basic First Aid certification
- Prior experience in security, customer service, or related fields
- Familiarity with routine security patrols, access control procedures, and CCTV monitoring systems
