Provide specialized neonatal care as a part time Registered Nurse at MercyOne’s Level III NICU on a 12-hour day shift.

As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will care for critically ill and premature newborns, including infants born at 28 or more weeks. You will use evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and neonatal expertise while coordinating nursing care. This position supports families in Waterloo Birth Center’s integrated NICU.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess critically ill and premature newborns thoroughly
- Plan individualized, goal-oriented neonatal care
- Implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions
- Monitor complex conditions and adjust care plans
- Collaborate with specialists, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

- Associate degree in nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
- Mandatory Reporter and ALCS credentials

Support vulnerable newborns and families through specialized assessment, critical thinking, education, and coordinated Level III NICU care.
