Areix is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead and manage all accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of financial information, support strategic decision-making, and maintain compliance with Canadian financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP / IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key metrics to support business decisions
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Support process improvements and implementation of financial systems
