Support extrusion production as a Compounder with material handling and quality-focused compounding responsibilities. Work 12-hour rotating continental shifts at Westlake.
Reporting to the Compounding Supervisor, this Compounder works in a team setting within the production department. The work involves preparing compound for extrusion lines, supplying materials, and following company policies. Responsibilities also include receiving deliveries, housekeeping, inventory counting, and supporting regrind activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality compound is available for extruder production
- Supply lines with compound, pigments, and regrind
- Place materials into the correct designated silos
- Receive, load, and unload material deliveries
- Inspect screens between conveyors and extruder silos
Requirements:
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent education
- Company-sponsored forklift certification
- Knowledge of propane-powered counter-balanced forklifts
- Computer literacy and basic mathematical ability
- Availability for 12-hour rotating continental shifts
