Island Health’s Mental Health and Addiction Services seeks a registered nurse for regular full time community care. This position supports clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders across detox, stabilization, in-home, and outreach settings. Care follows established standards, policies, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess clients holistically across withdrawal management settings
- Plan and organize bio-psychosocial-spiritual care
- Implement care for substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Provide detox, stabilization, in-home, and outreach services
- Travel between multiple locations when operationally required

Requirements:

- Register as a practicing RN or RPN in British Columbia
- Bring up to two years of related addictions experience
- Hold current CPR, First Aid, and BC driver’s license
- Understand chemical dependency and withdrawal pathophysiology
- Complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within three months
