About the Role Our client, a prominent insurance adjusting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Loss Adjuster to join their team, offering a remote work arrangement. This role is critical for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating insurance claims accurately and efficiently across various lines of business. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of claims handling procedures, excellent investigative skills, and the ability to provide fair and timely settlements. Working remotely allows you to manage your caseload effectively from Kimberley, Northern Cape, or any other suitable location, contributing to the company's high standards of service. You will play a key role in ensuring client satisfaction and upholding the integrity of the claims process in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

- Investigate assigned insurance claims promptly and thoroughly, gathering all necessary information and evidence.
- Interview claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties.
- Assess the extent of damage or loss and determine coverage under the policy terms.
- Prepare detailed reports, including findings, damage assessments, and settlement recommendations.
- Negotiate settlements with policyholders and other involved parties.
- Manage a caseload of complex and potentially litigated claims.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized claim files.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on claims-related matters.




- Identify opportunities for subrogation or fraud.

Requirements

- Relevant tertiary qualification or qualified certification in insurance claims or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Loss Adjuster, with a proven track record in handling diverse claims (e.g., property, motor, liability).
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, claims investigation techniques, and settlement negotiation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Proficiency in claims management software and standard office applications.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed (though the role is primarily remote).
- Knowledge of the Northern Cape region's specific claims landscape is beneficial.
