Support BC Hydro’s Surrey Campus through facilities maintenance, building inspections, corrective repairs, and coordination with external suppliers onsite. This onsite position requires technical skills and organized service.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician with Black & McDonald, you will support safety, maintenance, and operational integrity. Your work includes planned maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections, supplier coordination, and CMMS updates. You will help resolve facilities issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute planned and corrective maintenance tasks
- Conduct operational, safety, and site condition inspections
- Coordinate supplier activities and supervise onsite maintenance work
- Respond to JDE work orders and tag completed assets
- Complete light building, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical duties
Requirements:
- Three to five years facilities or service industry experience
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Small repair experience as a hands-on technician
- Clean Class 5 or higher BC driver’s license
- Basic computer skills and Excel, Word, Outlook knowledge
