POSITIONBACKGROUND:

The Hotshot Driver is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods topredetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery,loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to ourclient base.

COREDUTIES:

- Safe and reliable operation of Ketekvehicles
- Deliver a wide variety of items todifferent addresses and different routes
- Perform inspections and adjustments onthe vehicles before, during, and after trips
- Properly load and secure each commodityto allow for safe transportation
- Review deliveries with clients to ensureproducts meet their needs
- Completion ofhazard assessment, pre-trip vehicle inspection and trailer checklist (ifapplicable) prior to departure
- Completion ofdaily mileage log
- Responsible for ongoing and effectivecommunication with Ketek personnel and customers regarding productdetails, schedules, routes etc.

Other Duties

- Keep vehicle presentable and in goodworking order




- Completeall required paperwork on a daily basis, including hazard assessment and DailyJob Control Sheet
- Cooperatewith Training department for scheduling of new/recertification training
- Observeall safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Ensureall Ketek’s work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safetyregulations are followed
- Represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values ofManagement and the Corporate Vision and Mission Statements

QUALIFICATIONSAND SKILLS:

Required

- Valid Class 5Drivers Licence and clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Delivery Driver
- Effective time and route management to providedeliveries in a protected and timely manner
- Abilityto interact with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
- Fluent in the English language(reading, written, spoken)
- Experience driving half and 1-tonpickup trucks

Preferred

- High School Diploma
- Experience towing trailers (ball,pintle and 5th wheel)

Thisposition is defined as Safety Sensitive: Drug,Alcohol, Back, and Audio tests are required prior to commencing employment.
