As a Registered Counselling Therapist or Clinical Specialist RSW/MSW Social Worker, you will address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness. The position supports diverse adult clients referred privately, by employers, insurers, and third-party organizations. You will use goal-focused therapeutic approaches while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling services for injury, trauma, and mental illness
- Apply goal-focused therapeutic approaches to alleviate client distress
- Improve clients’ social and occupational functioning
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning conferences
- Deliver quality reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Requirements:
- Registration with Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists
- Master’s degree in counselling, psychology, social work, or related field
- Experience treating mental health symptoms among adult clients
- Training in CBT, ACT, or CPT approaches
- Experience preparing assessment, progress, and discharge reports
