Support carpenters at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg using carpentry skills, manual dexterity, and careful trade practices during day shifts.
As a Trades Helper 2 - Carpentry, you will work under a Maintenance Coordinator or designate within the Architectural Shop. The position supports repairs, installations, construction, documentation, and stock control. It is a full time, in-person position with an indefinite term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters with flooring, door, window, and furniture repairs
- Repair woodwork on walls and install handrails
- Construct millwork, walls, and partitions
- Maintain accurate documentation and stock control
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Four years of carpentry experience
- Grade 12 education
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow trade requirements and regulations
- Ability to move loads up to 34 kilograms
