This full time teacher plans and implements Lower Elementary Montessori programs. The work supports student independence, exploration, social-emotional growth, and intellectual development. Effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, families, and community partners is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean, safe, positive prepared classroom environments
- Create developmentally appropriate Lower Elementary Montessori lesson plans
- Produce formative and summative student assessments independently
- Foster family relationships through regular communication and interviews
- Support school events, outings, and student supervision
Requirements:
- Lower Elementary Montessori Diploma, B.Ed, B.A, or related M.A
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Willingness to obtain Montessori credentials if required
