Serve residents and guests as a Casual Dietary Aide at Extendicare Medex in Ottawa, supporting meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
Reporting to the Nutrition Manager, you will support meal services at Extendicare Medex on Baseline Road. Duties include preparing beverages, salads, and desserts, delivering trays, and assisting residents and guests courteously. You will also support dining area cleanliness and catering events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve meals professionally and courteously to residents and guests
- Set up beverages, salads, desserts, and other service items
- Set and clear dining tables and deliver trays
- Clean dishware, cutlery, kitchens, and dining areas
- Assist with catering, training, and theme events
Requirements:
- Food Handler's Certificate
- Food Service Worker Training enrollment or completion
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy, hot items and stand or walk
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
