We are looking for friendly, dependable Casual Part-Time Custodians to join our on-call team In this role, you’ll step in to cover staff absences and sick leaves, playing a vital part in keeping our school setting safe, clean, hygienic, and welcoming for our students, staff, and visitors. If you love keeping spaces sparkling clean and want a flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle, we would love to hear from you The Role & Responsibilities Working independently and with minimal supervision, your day-to-day will keep our school running smoothly across a few key areas:
- Washroom Maintenance: Keep washrooms clean, sanitized, and fully stocked with essentials (soap, paper towels, tissue) so they are always fresh and ready.
- General Cleaning & Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and wash hard floors, vacuum carpets and entrance mats, dust classroom furniture, and keep windows and whiteboards crystal clear.
- Waste & Environmental Safety: Empty waste and recycling bins, handle bin liners, and help keep exterior entryways clean and hazard-free.
- Equipment & Inventory: Keep custodial closets organized, perform basic care on cleaning equipment, and let us know when supplies need restocking.
- Facility Security & Safety: Assist with lock-up routines, follow safety guidelines (like WHMIS standards), and promptly report any maintenance needs or hazards. What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of cleaning experience.
- Previous commercial, institutional, or school cleaning experience is a wonderful asset
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive lifting, bending and reaching.




- Familiarity with commercial cleaning products, equipment operation, and WHMIS protocols.
- High attention to detail, strong reliability, self-motivation, and a positive, friendly communication style when interacting with our school community. Why Join Us?
