Job Summary We are seeking a high-caliber, detail-oriented Financial & Accounting Analyst to join our team on-site in Vaughan. This critical, hybrid role is designed for a qualified who bridges the gap between senior accounting oversight and strategic financial analysis. Stepping into responsibilities akin to an Assistant Controller, you will take ownership of general ledger integrity, lead month-end close processes, and oversee day-to-day transaction workflows within Sage 300. Simultaneously, you will drive the company's forward-looking financial health by building models, managing budgets, and providing variance analysis directly to leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Controller-Level Oversight (Sage 300)
· Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead and execute the full month-end and year-end closing cycles within Sage 300, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
· General Ledger & Quality Control: Manage the accuracy of the trial balance, post complex journal entries, and perform advanced balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
· Workflow Oversight: Monitor and review day-to-day accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and billing functions to ensure proper internal controls and coding.
· Audit & Compliance: Prepare comprehensive working papers, schedules, and documentation for external year-end audits and tax filings.
· Process Improvement: Evaluate current accounting policies and workflows within Sage 300 to optimize data flow, accuracy, and internal controls. Financial Planning & Strategic Analysis (FP&A;)
· Variance Analysis:



Conduct deep-dive monthly variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast) to identify and explain operational spending drivers.
· Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with management to coordinate the annual corporate budgeting process and maintain rolling financial forecasts.
· Financial Modeling: Extract and manipulate large datasets from Sage 300 to build and maintain sophisticated financial models and cash-flow projections in Excel.
· Executive Reporting: Design and prepare comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and management presentations for leadership. Requirements & Qualifications

Experience:
5 to 7 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting and financial analysis, with demonstrated exposure to closing the books.
· System Expertise: Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Sage 300 (Accpac) is strictly required.
· Technical

Skills:
Expert-level Excel capabilities (XLOOKUP, Advanced Index/Match, Nested Ifs, Pivot Tables, and financial model architecture).
· Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Active enrollment in or progressive tracking toward a professional designation (CPA candidate) is highly desirable.
· Work Style: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to accounting principles, and the leadership potential to manage financial operations.
· On-Site Commitment: Ability to work full-time, 5 days a week on-site at our Concord/Vaughan office. Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Work
