WE'RE HIRING Barback / Server Assistant Restaurant Kavita | Vancouver, BC Restaurant Kavita is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven individual to join our Front of House team as a Barback / Server Assistant. About the Role
This is a hybrid support position combining the responsibilities of a Barback and Server Assistant. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in supporting our bartenders and servers, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining the highest standards of service. This position is ideal for someone with previous hospitality experience who is passionate about food, wine, cocktails, and developing their career in a refined dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
Bar Support:
- Assist bartenders with daily bar preparation, including garnishes, juices, syrups, and cocktail ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the bar throughout service.
- Restock spirits, wines, beer, glassware, ice, and other bar supplies.
- Assist with beverage preparation and service under the direction of the bartender.
- Support bar opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards. Dining Room Support:
- Assist servers with food running, beverage delivery, and table maintenance.
- Set, clear,



and reset tables efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
- Ensure water service, glassware, cutlery, and table settings are maintained throughout the dining experience.
- Support the pacing and flow of service in coordination with the kitchen and Front of House team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Provide warm, attentive, and professional hospitality to every guest. What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in both Barback and Server Assistant roles.
- Previous experience in a fine-dining or upscale restaurant environment is an asset.
- Genuine interest in hospitality, cocktails, wine, and food.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to anticipate the needs of guests and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to take initiative.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Valid Serving It Right certification.
