The Job We need a food production worker to join our team. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday day job starting at $20/hr, with a pay review after 6 months. You will help make our products. We will train you. We need you to be careful and to care about the details. The biggest asset you can bring is being motivated and ready to work. Bring that, and we will teach you the rest. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our team for a long time. What You Will Do
- Run production machinery. This includes the grinder, mixer, stuffer, and tumbler.
- Blend spices to our recipes. Getting the amounts right every time matters.
- Keep good records. You will fill in production and food safety documents.
- Follow our food safety rules. We work under federal regulations and SQF. Following the process every time is part of the job.
- Help keep things clean. Some light sanitation of equipment and work areas is part of the job. What We Are Looking For
- Detail oriented. You double-check your work. You measure, label, and record things correctly.
- Valuable English communication. You can read and follow written instructions, labels, and safety signs in English.
You can fill in records accurately and speak clearly with your team. This keeps our food safe and keeps everyone safe around the machines.
- Independent and responsible. You show up, take ownership, and finish tasks without close supervision.
- Comfortable in the cold. Parts of the facility are kept between 4°C and 8°C. This is part of working in meat processing.
- Physically able. You can lift up to 60 lbs (27 kg) and be on your feet for your shift.
- Ready for plant work. You will wear a hairnet and PPE and do some repetitive tasks. You will need your own anti-slip safety shoes.
- Willing to learn. You do not need to know our machines. You do need to be willing to learn them properly. Nice to Have
- Knife skills. A great bonus if you have them.
- Food handler training. Another great bonus if you have it. Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 44.0 per week
