Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires solid analytical skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service while maintaining the integrity of our financial processes. This role includes collections of 90+ days so proficiency in collecting is required. Duties
- Process and record accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage collections by contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and negotiating payment arrangements.
- Utilize accounting software such as Microsoft GP for data entry and financial reporting.
- Perform account analysis to identify trends and potential issues in receivables.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with clients.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to billing or payments.
- Prepares cash deposits and fills out the cash control sheet daily.
- Reconcile customer statements and follows up collections as necessary.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Experience in collections is required. Skills
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP software is required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

- Work with cash applications when needed to actively review cash receipts and unapplied payments on a continual basis
- Review and release outgoing deliveries as they come up on credit hold Education and/or Experience
- 1 to 2 years previous experience
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
