The Opportunity We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with specialized training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) to join our growing team as an independent contractor. This is an opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about helping clients improve comfort and well-being through specialized, gentle manual therapy. The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients who may benefit from lymphatic drainage techniques and a strong commitment to safe, individualized care. Responsibilities
- Provide professional manual lymphatic drainage treatments tailored to each client’s needs.
- Conduct appropriate client intake, screening and assessment before treatment.
- Develop individualized treatment approaches within your scope of practice and training.
- Maintain accurate treatment notes and client records.
- Recognize contraindications and refer clients to appropriate healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, professionalism and client confidentiality.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience consistent with Mana’s standards of care.
- Collaborate respectfully with other practitioners when appropriate. Qualifications
- Current registration with a recognized massage therapy association or regulatory body accepted for practice in Alberta.
- Recognized training and certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD).
- Experience providing lymphatic drainage treatments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contraindications, precautions and appropriate referral practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, compassionate and client-centred approach.
- Current professional liability insurance. Additional training or experience in complex decongestive therapy, lymphedema management or post-operative lymphatic care would be an asset. What Mana Offers
