Technical Sales & Purchasing Representative Boilersmith Ltd. is looking for a well organized, creative, team-oriented candidate, ideally residing within 50 km of Seaforth, Ontario. The successful candidate will ideally be an Engineering skilled looking for a role with a focus on Technical Sales, Purchasing and Quality Control. This position will require the successful candidate to have knowledge of thermal dynamics, welding and material science and will involve providing internal and external assistance across a range of products. With an eye for detail you will also enjoy working with customers to solve technical issues. Job Summary The Technical Sales & Purchasing Representative role will require a thorough understanding of all Boilersmith products and will need to support all areas of the business including specialist projects. This role will provide engineering-based support for our customers and internal stakeholders throughout the engineering process. Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Sales of boiler products, including cost-estimation using established templates, creating proposals and following up with customers.
- Sales of spare parts to new and existing customers.
- Manage purchasing relationships with outside vendors and internal departments to co-ordinate procurement, manufacturing schedules and on-time shipping and delivery of parts.
- Identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for purchasing goods and services
- Field and respond to technical inquiries from customers with a goal of continuing strong customer relations.
- Monitor and report on sales and purchasing performance to senior management
- Generate and issue factory orders, and documentation required to communicate orders through to the plant.
- Able to provide assistance with technical specifications, basic design problem resolution,



product support and other technical assistance where required to internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned. Education:
- Applicants with an Engineering diploma or degree will be given preference. Essential Skills &

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of thermal dynamics, heat transfer, welding, and material science
- Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS 3D and AutoCAD LT software
- Advanced Excel and proficiency with Office 2010+
- Ability to read drawings and technical diagrams Desirable
- Experience in boiler manufacturing or related industries would be an asset
- Knowledge of PLC’s, transformers, transmitters, and other boiler controls would be an asset
- Knowledge of TSSA and ASME codes and best practices would be an asset
- An understanding of industrial process equipment and operation would be an asset General Experience, Skills &
