Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by examining patients’ gums and teeth.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care, including orthodontics and pediatrics.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patients. Requirements
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar dental software is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Previous experience in dental assisting is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including children.
