- Overtime Methodology: ON-Averaging Agreement (Overtime paid over 88 hours) ## Site Overview Campbellford Memorial Hospital is a community hospital dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare services. In this environment, security is a key partner in patient care, ensuring a safe, calm, and reassuring atmosphere for patients, visitors, and hospital staff. ## What You'll Be Doing Working within a small, dedicated security team and reporting directly to the site Lead Hand, you will balance safety management with customer service. Your daily tasks will include:
- Delivering professional, customer-service-focused assistance to patients, staff, and members of the public.
- Conducting patient watch duties to maintain individual safety and well-being.
- Using de-escalation, mediation, and conflict resolution techniques to manage challenging situations.
- Responding calmly and taking appropriate action during emergency situations following established hospital procedures.
- Programming and managing active access cards.
- Maintaining accurate shift logs, notes, and detailed incident reports. ## Must Haves
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double vaccinated).
- Copy of Immunization Records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and 2-Step TB Skin Test).
- Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).

- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- *If you do not currently hold UoF and MOAB certifications, you can complete Paladin's training program prior to onboarding. Paladin covers the full cost of this training with a 6-month commitment to the position.

- Minimum 1 year of healthcare security experience.
