Food Counter Attendant / Kitchen Helper Saburo Kitchen

Downtown Winnipeg – Hargrave Street Market Saburo Kitchen is looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Food Counter Attendant / Kitchen Helper to join our team at Hargrave Street Market in downtown Winnipeg. This is a fast-paced position that combines customer service, food preparation, and general kitchen support. The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, comfortable multitasking, and enjoys working as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, excellent customer service
- Take customer orders and process payments using a POS system
- Prepare and serve food according to company standards
- Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen duties
- Help assemble, package, and plate customer orders
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter, kitchen, and food preparation areas
- Handle cash and credit/debit transactions accurately
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials
- Stock and restock food, supplies, and inventory as needed
- Assist the kitchen and front counter team during busy periods
- Follow food safety, cleanliness, and workplace procedures
- Perform other general duties as required to support the team Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Available to work lunch, evenings, and weekends




- Comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Positive attitude and friendly personality
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team Preferred:
- Previous restaurant or food service experience
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience
- Experience handling cash
