Overview The AP Chemistry Tutor helps students build understanding of chemistry concepts, strengthen problem-solving skills, and prepare for coursework and assessments. The role involves adapting explanations to students’ needs and creating a supportive learning environment that encourages questions and steady progress. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver focused tutoring sessions on AP Chemistry topics, using clear explanations, examples, and practice problems.
- Assess students’ understanding, identify areas for improvement, and adjust teaching approaches to support different learning needs.
- Use math and appropriate computer tools to prepare learning materials, track progress, and reinforce concepts.
- Communicate progress and useful next steps to students, families,



or colleagues as appropriate.
- Your impact: Students gain confidence and practical strategies for tackling challenging chemistry problems. Qualifications Required: Clear teaching and tutoring skills, strong chemistry and math knowledge, basic computer skills, and the ability to explain concepts patiently and adapt instruction to student needs. Experience in helping students prepare AP exams Preferred: Experience working with high school students Pay: From $30.00 per hour
