Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Status: Open Role Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

Overview

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to support new product introduction, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement within an electronics manufacturing environment. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Program Management teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage product readiness, including routings, equipment, processes, cycle times, and quality requirements.
- Review new product designs for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT).
- Translate customer drawings and requirements into internal work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
- Manage engineering changes and assess manufacturing/cost impacts.
- Develop and improve assembly processes, layouts, tooling, fixtures, and material flow.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and production costs.
- Support PFMEA, SPC, DOE, process validation, and first-article activities.
- Provide technical support and training to production teams.




- Ensure manufacturing documentation and processes meet applicable quality and audit requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics.
- 5+ years of electronics or related manufacturing experience.
- Experience with electronic assembly process control and validation.
- Strong knowledge of DFM, PFMEA, SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electronics assembly and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience with CAD, MES, Gerber viewers, or similar manufacturing software is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

Full-time, on-site manufacturing workplace.
