Support underground automation at Coeur Mining’s Rainy River mine using PLC troubleshooting and process control expertise. Work schedules include 5/2/4/3 or 14/14.

This Underground Automation Technician supports safe, reliable, and effective underground control systems. The work combines technical support with installation, commissioning, and optimization of automation equipment, control systems, and communication networks. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and troubleshoot process control strategies supporting mine operations
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, historian, and communication network issues
- Implement control improvements aligned with mine optimization priorities
- Support automation equipment installation, integration, and commissioning




- Provide technical input during operational meetings and issue reviews

Requirements:

- Valid 309A, 442A, or 447A certification, or related engineering degree
- Three years supporting underground mining automation, instrumentation, or electrical systems
- Rockwell PLC and HMI programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Modbus, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, or OPC UA integration
- Commitment to safe underground mining work practices
