Provide primary care for post-operative patients in phase 2 recovery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Apply assessment and ECG monitoring skills within peri-anaesthesia care.

This Registered Nurse delivers assessment, intervention, education, and patient advocacy for post-surgical patients. Care follows College of Nurses standards, NAPANc Standards, Sunnybrook’s mission, vision, and values, and person-centered care principles. The position requires solid clinical judgment across changing care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess post-operative patients in phase 2 recovery
- Provide interventions aligned with patient care needs
- Educate patients throughout recovery and care
- Advocate for patients using person-centered care principles
- Work across peri-anaesthesia areas as needed

Requirements:

- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Significant recent post-surgical care experience
- Acute Care Nursing or High Acuity Care Certification
- Arterial line and ECG monitoring experience
- Venipuncture and IV Certification, plus current BCLS
