This senior position leads the New Ventures team for a globally recognized mining exploration company. You will identify, evaluate, and advance high-potential exploration targets worldwide. The work spans grass-roots inception through advanced exploration, requiring strategic judgment, geological expertise, and exploration program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead global new business exploration initiatives from target generation onward
- Develop creative strategies for prospective geological terranes
- Interpret regional and prospect-scale geological, geophysical, and geochemical data
- Manage exploration budgets, resources,
and capital deployment
- Lead geologists and consultants across exploration programs
Requirements:
- Master's or PhD in Geology or related Earth Science
- At least 15 years of progressive mineral exploration experience
- Success discovering economically significant deposits across commodities
- Expertise in geological interpretation, targeting, and project generation
- Proficiency with geological modeling software and GIS applications
