This Registered Nurse assesses patients entering the Family Birthing Centre and delivers care according to professional nursing standards. The RN uses critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership while collaborating with the patient care team. Care spans labour and birth and postpartum services, including operative procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess patients entering the Family Birthing Centre
- Apply the nursing process to patient needs
- Deliver safe nursing care using clinical judgment
- Collaborate with patient care teams on outcomes
- Scrub and circulate for caesarean sections

Requirements:

- Current Ontario Registered Nurse registration required
- Recent one year full time labour and birth experience
- Current BCLS and neonatal resuscitation certification
- Current AWHONN or CMNRP fetal monitoring certification
- Obstetrical certificate and breastfeeding course required
