Support geotechnical monitoring with CAD and data analysis as a Junior Instrumentation Technician in Downtown Toronto. Work with Ontario Transit Group’s multidisciplinary team.

This junior position supports planning, installation, operation, and maintenance of geotechnical, structural, and environmental instrumentation. Under senior Instrumentation and Monitoring personnel, you will assist with field installations, data collection, equipment inspections, documentation, and construction project support. The role develops technical expertise in monitoring technologies and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate field activities with Instrumentation and Monitoring team members
- Install, test, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot monitoring instruments
- Collect, validate, organize, and interpret monitoring data




- Maintain field logs, inspection reports, and project documentation
- Prepare instrumentation layouts and drawings using CAD software

Requirements:

- Ability to support geotechnical, structural, and environmental monitoring
- Ability to conduct site visits and gather field information
- Ability to assist with data processing and quality control
- Ability to prepare technical reports and installation documentation
- Ability to follow quality and health and safety requirements
