This 12-month contract supports Insurance Finance Reporting at a leading Canadian financial institution. You will contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting, investment finance analysis, and an IFRS 17 finance and actuarial transformation program. The work focuses on reducing manual effort during month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and financial statements
- Analyze investment results and support Investment Finance reporting
- Investigate results and complete variance analysis
- Document and automate month-end close processes
- Support external audit requests and reporting requirements
Requirements:
- Skilled accounting designation or equivalent three years’ experience
- Three-plus years in progressive financial services finance roles
- Exceptional Excel skills and Power Query experience
- Knowledge of investment products, accounting, or reporting
- Ability to manage large datasets and competing priorities
