Commission complex machines as an Automation Engineer with Cytiva in Burnaby, BC, using electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting skills in office.
Reporting to the Integration Manager, you will work within Cytiva’s Integration Team. The position supports multiple product lines through system integration, FRT/CX, FAT, pre-shipping, customer-site SAT, training, qualification, and service support. You will also assist engineers, technicians, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission machines through the full production cycle
- Travel to customer sites for SAT and qualification
- Provide office and remote field support
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues
- Participate in the after-hours customer support roster
Requirements:
- Post-secondary engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent
- Electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics specialization
- One to two years’ programming experience
- Mechanical or electrical problem-solving skills
- Valid Canadian passport and driver’s license
