Reporting to the Senior Manager Financial Planning, the Finance Lead coordinates annual budgeting and business case analysis. The position supports client departments, maintains financial models, and advises stakeholders across City initiatives. It also leads and supports finance staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the City’s annual Five-Year Financial Plan
- Advise departments on budget submissions, funding sources, and allocations
- Develop financial models, reports, schedules, and working papers




- Investigate budget versus actuals variances and resolve discrepancies
- Lead, coach, and support finance staff

Requirements:

- University degree in Business or related discipline
- Professional Accounting Designation and five years’ relevant experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and financial analysis
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
