Build yeast-based VLP production with hands-on expression and purification expertise. Develop workflows supporting engineered particles, quality control, and stability testing.

This senior research associate role centers on producing engineered VLPs in yeast and improving yield and recovery. You will build production, purification, QC, and stability workflows. Your work will provide purified material for characterization, insect-cell assays, and insect bioassays while collaborating with virology and protein biochemistry teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engineer yeast strains for cell growth and VLP yields
- Transform yeast and screen clones for particle quality
- Produce VLPs in shake flasks and bioreactors
- Purify, buffer-exchange, and concentrate harvested particles




- Run QC assays and support stability screens

Requirements:

- BSc or MS in a relevant biological or engineering field
- Hands-on yeast or microbial recombinant expression experience
- Experience with yeast transformation and clone screening
- Protein or particle purification experience, including chromatography or filtration
- Knowledge of protein, RNA, or particle QC methods
