Lead enterprise privacy governance as Vancity’s Chief Privacy Officer, applying regulatory expertise and risk management through a hybrid work arrangement.

As Director, Privacy, you will guide privacy across Vancity and VCIB. You will advise executives and governance bodies while directing compliance, privacy-by-design, and incident response. This full time, permanent role reports to the VP, Enterprise Regulatory Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set enterprise privacy strategy, roadmap, policies, and priorities
- Lead privacy management programs across Vancity and VCIB
- Advise executives and governance bodies on material privacy risks
- Direct privacy legislation and regulatory compliance
- Oversee incidents, investigations, complaints,



and regulatory reviews

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- 10+ years’ progressive privacy, compliance, legal, or risk experience
- 5+ years’ senior leadership experience overseeing enterprise programs
- Deep knowledge of Canadian privacy legislation and governance frameworks
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
