Lead secondary science programming with curriculum leadership and collaborative guidance at a new Catholic secondary school. This position is 1.0 FTE.

The Department Head serves on the school leadership team and supports program implementation for Science. The role applies Ministry guidelines and Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations to curriculum design and management. It also supports accountability for student achievement and school improvement priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and guidance for department program implementation
- Facilitate cooperation with other departments for student program needs
- Coordinate communication between administration and department members
- Compile Ministry and Board curriculum requirements




- Lead professional development supporting the school improvement plan

Requirements:

- Basic qualifications in Intermediate and Senior Science divisions
- Honour Specialist qualification in Science
- Minimum five years teaching in the secondary panel
- Understanding of current secondary education system and school priorities
- Strong interpersonal and cooperative leadership skills
