Serve Walmart patients across Nanaimo as a Relief Pharmacist using accurate prescription processing and patient counselling. Travel between assigned locations as scheduled.
The Relief Pharmacist assists Pharmacy Managers and Staff Pharmacists with all aspects of pharmacy operations. This role supports patient experience, prescription acceptance, dispensing accuracy, pharmaceutical product storage, and eligible services. You will follow established workflow models, OBWs, SOPs, provincial regulations, and Relief Pharmacist program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, and hospitals
- Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflows
- Counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products and eligible services
- Protect patient privacy and follow provincial regulatory requirements
- Travel to various locations according to Relief program schedules
Requirements:
- Pharmacist License
- Additional Prescribing Authorization permit in Alberta, if applicable
- Ability to operate pharmacy registers and computer systems
- Ability to follow OBWs, SOPs, and Relief Pharmacist program regulations
- Ability to work at Walmart’s Nanaimo, British Columbia location
