Calling All Mentors – Applications Open Now
Outside Looking In (OLI) is seeking volunteer mentors from diverse careers and backgrounds to support Indigenous youth and emerging young professionals across Canada.
Mentorship with OLI is a two-way experience – mentors bring their career journey and lived experience and walk away with fresh perspective, connection, and the chance to make a lasting impact.
Two ways to get involved:
? Future Leaders Mentorship – Support Indigenous high school students (Grades 10–12)
- 6 virtual mentorship sessions, December 2026–June 2027 (~10 hours total)
- Optional in-person opportunities at OLI's 20th Annual Camp & Showcase in Winnipeg (May 2027)
? Indigenous Professional Studies Mentorship – Support Indigenous emerging young professionals (18+)
- A Virtual Meet & Greet, plus 4 flexible 1:1 sessions with your mentee (November 2026–March 2027)
? Not ready to commit to mentoring? Be a guest speaker and share your career journey in a single talk or panel, no ongoing commitment required.
Who should register?
People from across all careers and industries who want to help Indigenous youth aim high, explore what’s possible, and build confidence in their future.
No formal mentoring experience required – just a willingness to show up, listen, and share what you’ve learned along the way.
We especially encourage First Nations, Métis, and Inuit professionals to apply.
Apply as soon as possible for the best chance at your preferred Orientation Session date (Nov 2 or Nov 23):
