Position Background: Thatchwood Ventures is a locally owned and operated trucking company in the Grande Prairie Area. We are currently looking for a Journeyman/woman heavy duty mechanic to add to our growing team. Candidate must be willing to work some weekends, evenings, and overtime. We have recently moved to a new state of the art facility east of Grande Prairie along Range Road 53!! Qualifications, Responsibilities, and Skills: The individual in this role will have: • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of equipment. • Service equipment regularly. • Handle both shop and in field work orders. • Complete detailed, clear, and concise work and repair orders in a timely manner. • Ability to work overtime hour when on call. • Ability to work alone and in a group setting. • Ensure compliance with all regulations and record keeping concerning all transportation matters such as National Safety Code, legislation, etc. • Experience with technical software (Cummins Insight, JPro, etc.)

Licenses & Certifications: • Class 5 license and provide own transportation is mandatory. • Red Seal and or 2-3rd year apprentice is mandatory. • Preference given to candidates with valid H2S and First Aid Certificates.
