Keep food processing and packaging equipment running as a Maintenance Mechanic in central Mississauga, working Monday to Friday afternoons.
This full time, permanent position supports a commercial food and bakery manufacturer. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across mixers, ovens, conveyors, and automated packaging equipment. The work also includes planned rebuilds, component replacements, changeovers, and basic electrical diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to breakdowns across food processing and packaging lines
- Rebuild components and replace bearings, pumps, and motors
- Adjust belt and chain tracking during maintenance work
- Assist production with changeovers and sensor alignments
- Follow LOTO, GMP,
and food-grade hygiene procedures
Requirements:
- Three to six years industrial mechanical maintenance experience
- Food, beverage, or commercial packaging facility experience
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience with automated packaging machines
- 433A Millwright license preferred, not mandatory
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
